WEll then the realism part really showed through

Its still awesome. It is my personal opinion that when photos are used to enhance art that was created, then its art. But the reverse...is a grey area. I find that people who completely alter a photo (like effect artists, etc) are very creative if not more so than most. But people who take a photo and just try to make it look 'ainterly' by smudging it around a bit and maybe add a few new colors...I don't hold them in the highest praise. However, people who can completely replicate a photo are artists. Its not as easy as one might think

i seee what you're getting at and would have to agree with you, the computer has made alot of people feel like artists even though they couldn't pick up a pencil and make the most simple of drawings, where do you draw the line though, if somebody screws up a piece of paper and calls it art is it? to them maybe but to everyone else maybe not, its the same with the computer, i think i'll smudge here here and here, change that colour and hey presto! i'm H R friggin Giger! we can all use a filter, we can all speak, don't make us all poet's though do it!!!! so yeah, i'm on your side. At least i drew this, pencil, ink, scan, colour!
